CLACK® JURAPERLE - PH CORRECTION
Juraperle is a blend of naturally occurring calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate. This
sacrificial media will dissolve in water over time. When water comes into contact with Juraperle
the free CO2 is converted and adds small amounts of calcium and magnesium to raise the pH
level. This media will only raise the pH level to a maximum of 7.5 dependent on contact time and
incoming water quality.
Juraperle is suited to applications where the incoming feed is already around a pH of 6, other
parameters such as iron and manganese need to be taken into consideration.
Juraperle should be topped up every 12 months and sized to last a 12 month period. At Wateq our
systems are supplied with a backwashing valve to ensure the media is fresh whilst any
suspended particulates that are held during service can be backwashed, as well as preventing
channelling.
