ION EXCHANGE RESINS
MIXED BED ION EXCHANGE RESIN
RESINEX™ MX-11 MIXED BED ION EXCHANGE RESIN
Mixed bed resin is used mostly to polish water and remove the last remaining
minerals to give the purest water possible. It contains both Cation and Anion
resins, giving it its name, mixed bed resin. This make up also means it is able to
trap most minerals and lower water to below 5 microsiemens.
The higher the purity of resin, the lower the amount of microsiemens can pass
through.
We would not normally specify using just mixed bed resin to lower the total count of microsiemens in water, instead we would usually
specify something to help the removal of minerals and salts first, as the media has limited capacity for removal and is not able to be
regenerated.
Please see our selection of reverse osmosis units for more comprehensive mineral removal.
